Terms of Use

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Short version: use Kimo to identify callers and to report numbers you recognise as spam. The community scores are crowdsourced, sometimes wrong, and provided as-is — please verify before taking any action. We do our best to keep the service accurate but cannot guarantee it. If you have a complaint about a number or a report, please contact us.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Kimo (package com.nevranizamoglu.kimo) is a caller-identification and spam-protection app for the Turkish market, distributed on iOS and Android ("the Service"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Service.

By installing or using Kimo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

2. What Kimo does

Kimo performs three things:

The Service is free up to a daily limit on the free tier; a paid subscription (managed by Apple or Google) lifts that limit.

3. Your use of the Service

You may use the Service to identify calls you receive, to report numbers you have personal experience with, and to organise your own communications. You agree not to:

If a number is on the Service, you can ask to have it suppressed from public view — see the Privacy Policy, §10.

4. Reports you submit

Spam reports you submit become part of the public score attached to the number. You can submit anonymous categories (e.g. "sales call") without writing a note. If you write a note, keep it brief and factual — do not name other people, do not include personal data about the call's recipient, and do not make claims you cannot verify. We may redact or remove individual reports at our discretion, and we may rate-limit or block accounts that abuse the report flow.

By submitting a report you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, aggregate, and display that report on the number's public page. Reports are not attributed to you in any way we publish.

5. Permissions you grant

Kimo asks for certain device permissions to deliver specific features. Each is optional — declining any of them does not remove the rest:

We never read call content, audio, or other apps' data. Permission requests always come from the operating system — if anything in the app looks different from the system's own prompt, treat it as a UI bug and contact us.

6. Subscriptions

If you subscribe, the payment is processed by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android) under their standard terms. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to verify subscriptions across reinstalls — see the Privacy Policy, §8, for what RevenueCat receives.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — we cannot cancel it on your behalf.

7. Accuracy and disclaimer

Community scores are crowdsourced. They can be wrong — a number flagged "scam" can be legitimate, and vice versa. Kimo is a signal, not a verdict. You agree to use the information for awareness only, to apply your own judgement before calling back, and not to take action against a person based on Kimo's score alone.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any number's community score for any particular purpose.

8. Updates and the Service

We may update, change, or withdraw parts of the Service at any time. We may add new lookup sources, refine scoring rules, or remove reports that violate §3. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including losses arising from a community score you relied on.

10. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as the app is installed on your device. You may end them at any time by uninstalling the app. We may end them or suspend access if you materially breach §3 or the rules of the store you got the app from.

11. Apple App Store and Google Play terms

The Service is made available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the app. Where the app is obtained from the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If local consumer law in your country gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.

For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Istanbul (Türkiye) have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country gives you the right to sue in your home courts.
